Democrat Party Gubernatorial nominee-to-be Kathleen Falk has been under conservative fire recently for signing a pledge that, as Governor, she will veto any budget that doesn't return complete control of Wisconsin's schools to labor unions. The Republican Party of Dane County is outraged by this criticism of Ms. Falk and her union fealty.

Conservative attacks, particularly those launched by Republicans, have been blatantly hypocritical. For example, WEAC created a health insurance company called WEA Trust, then forced Wisconsin schools to use it and pay additional costs of tens of millions of dollars statewide each year without raising service levels. Aren't Republicans supposed to support entrepreneurship and profits?

The real question is why WEAC hasn't branched into additional sectors. Maybe they could open up a food catering...

The Republican Party of Dane County's annual county caucus is February 25th.

Your membership must be active at least 14 days prior to the caucus in order for you to be a voting delegate!  This is even more important this year as we'll review and vote on revisions to the RPDC Constitution.

Wisconsin Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch takes on our former Dane County Executive in a recent piece to the Cap Times.  Apparently bored with retirement, Kathleen Falk has been attacking Governor Walker's reforms but is noticeably short on how she would address the same problems.  The Lt. Governor also takes Kathleen to task for her record here in Dane County.

Voter ID has been a hot button topic in Wisconsin for some time.  Republicans want to end voter fraud while Democrats want to keep it alive.  The Democrats are as aware as we are that voter fraud benefits them.  We at the Republican Party of Dane County don’t at all begrudge the Democrats for wanting to win elections.

But the official spokesman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin Graeme Zielinski has taken things to a new level. He’s explicitly accusing Republicans of trying to suppress the vote of minorities. He’s accused Republicans of “voter-caging against African-Americans”. When Media Trackers did an investigation into vote fraud committed by Sen. Lena Taylor, Zielinski responded, “You are a racist and are going down.”

Democrats playing the race card are nothing new. It’s really the only arrow they have left in their quiver.  But historically, the race card has been played in a subtle...

Panic spread across the UW-Madison campus on Monday night.  Vice Provost Damon A. Williams sent out a frantic campus-wide message about a vague “troubling communication… that involves a threat”.  He called an “urgent meeting” at the “last minute” to determine a University-wide response.  The response came swiftly on Tuesday morning:

Vice Provost Lori Berquam declared the attack on the University “aggressive and right wing”.  Vice Provost Williams spoke to the Daily Cardinal “with tears in his eyes”, telling them “I was so upset that our students are going to have to wake up this morning and deal with this.” The University leadership has agreed on a top-to-bottom united fight against this existential threat, including sit-ins, drum circles and potentially fleeing to Illinois again.  The threat?

Apparently the Admissions Department is made up of a bunch of racists.

The Center for Equal Opportunity is asking the University to stop using race in admissions. They simply want to stop the process...

The Republican Party of Dane County (RPDC) typically does not endorse pre-primary, but never have we felt stronger about a candidate than about Tammy Baldwin.

Having held her Congressional seat for 12 years, Rep. Baldwin hasn’t initiated a single noteworthy bill that ultimately passed, but nobody likes an over-achiever!  Besides, we know she’s involved in lots of other important things in Washington, like membership in key Congressional caucuses, including the Congressional Wine Caucus, the Congressional Fitness Caucus, the Congressional Soccer Caucus and the Congressional Bike Caucus.

If Wisconsin voters have sent one message this past 12 months it’s that they want representatives to put their own interests aside and vote for whatever the DNC and AFL-CIO tell them to.  And there’s no more reliable vote than Tammy Baldwin, who’s voted with Democrats 97% of the time.

Tammy Baldwin voted against the debt limit deal last month that didn’t cut any real government spending because it didn’t hike...

Celebrations spread around the state of Wisconsin last night after voters stood up to Big Labor and delivered yet another great victory for the Badger State.  The Republican Party of Dane County is particularly proud to have helped deliver a victory for Sen. Luther Olsen, having adopted his campaign after learning that he was down in the polls last month.  Volunteers from all over the state worked tirelessly to provide the come-from-behind-victory for Senator Olsen, with a big assist from Dane County Republicans who traveled north to help knock on doors, drop literature and make phone calls.

Big Labor has tried everything in their arsenal to overturn last November’s results.  They ordered the Democrats in the State Senate to flee the state, then financed a mob attack on the Wisconsin Capitol.  They subsequently fired everything they could at Judge David Prosser, even wrongly accusing him of defending pedophiles.  They lost again.  More recently, they appear to have fabricated a violent incident between Justice Prosser and Justice Ann Bradley, which they have yet to substantiate.  And now they’ve tried recall elections, pouring tens of millions of dollars from all over the country.  Yet last night’s elections demonstrate that Big Labor has failed again.  It is now clear that Republicans will retain the majority in the State Senate, regardless of what happens next week.
