The Mantle of Leadership

President Obama’s lack of leadership during the last four years becomes more evident in his foreign policy. Along with his failure to restore our economy, Obama’s passivity abroad and devastating defense cuts have hurt American influence throughout the world. Mitt Romney will take us on a different path and will reestablish our influence and respect by restoring our defense cuts, supporting those in the Middle East who share our values and will turn around our economy here at home. The American people deserve a president who is willing to get off the sidelines and be honest about the challenges our nation faces.

  • President Obama's failure to restore our economy, his passivity abroad, and his devastating cuts to our military have weakened our influence in every part of the world – particularly the Middle East. 
  • Governor Romney offers a bold, clear choice between what has long been a bipartisan vision of American leadership and President Obama's policies of weakness and decline. 
  • Mitt Romney will restore our influence and respect abroad by turning around our economy, restoring our military, and supporting those in the Middle East and beyond who share our values and wish to partner with us.
  • President Obama fails to recognize that weakness on the world stage emboldens our adversaries and fosters instability. 
  • Mitt Romney will offer a different path; he will restore Obama's devastating defense cuts, reform foreign assistance in a way that promotes good governance and will stand by our allies, like Israel, and be resolute with our adversaries.
  • President Obama has no strategy for the Middle East, and too often is on the sidelines when it comes to leadership.
  • The American people deserve a president who is willing to tell them the truth and be honest about the challenges our nation faces.
