Our speaker: Andrew Hitt is the newly elected chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. Chairman Andrew Hitt has rededicated RPW to building a grassroots juggernaut for 2020 and beyond that will ensure wins in local, district and statewide races across Wisconsin. Andrew will talk about the party’s plans for the future and it’s efforts to rebuild the previously neglected grassroots of the party.
Andrew Hitt was elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin in April of this year. Since joining RPW’s Executive Committee in 2016, Andrew has served as both the treasurer and 1st vice chair of the Party. In his professional life, Andrew works as an attorney. He is Senior Counsel at the law firm Michael Best & Friedrich as well as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of the firm’s consulting division, Michael Best Strategies. Prior to joining Michael Best, Andrew served in Governor Scott Walker’s administration as deputy legal counsel, senior advisor, and as a member of the governor’s cabinet at the Department of Health Services and Department of Administration. Early on in his career, Andrew was an assistant district attorney in the Violent Crimes Unit of the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office and was a former law clerk to Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Annette Ziegler.
Andrew is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Marquette Law School, and George Washington University. He is the father of a daughter and two sons, and lives in Appleton with his wife Stacy.
